It all started on a night neither of them will ever forget—a birthday dinner surrounded by good food, and mutual friends. Little did they know that a simple evening out would change the course of their lives forever.

Farouk arrived first, charming everyone with his smile and humorous demeanor. Brittany-Anne walked in soon after, lighting up the room with her warmth and grace. The two of them were seated across the table from one another, and though they exchanged polite hellos, the magic didn’t start immediately. It wasn’t until months later where they started up a conversation after running into each other a few times in between that sparks started to fly. Texts turned into calls and calls turned into car rides to and from work together where they engaged in conversation and deepened their connection. What started as a chance meeting quickly blossomed into something extraordinary.

Over time, their love deepened in ways they never expected. They explored new places, tackled challenges hand in hand, and built a foundation of trust, respect, communication and joy. Every step of their journey has been filled with love, laughter, and a shared sense of purpose.

When Farouk proposed on Sept. 29, 2023, Brittany-Anne’s answer was the easiest “yes” she’d ever spoken. Surrounded by the colours of fall and the promise of forever, they began planning the next chapter of their lives together.

As they prepare to say “I do” in front of cherished friends and family, they can’t help but reflect on how far they’ve come since that serendipitous dinner. It feels like the beginning of a love story they’ll be telling for the rest of their lives.
